It is Steve Chalke's brave stance that opened the way to change in the UK.
Of course, we will never all agree; how boring life would be if we did. The problem is not our disagreement but the presumption that difference is all the permission we need for any kind of cruelty.
xxPen Wilcockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13818227904371811230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-55532501364780143.post-83522226937470742732015-02-09T14:05:40.881+00:002015-02-09T14:05:40.881+00:00Two thoughts. When you wonder how people think like this, sometimes they have been almost indoctrinated by their parents. Secondly, my brother was gay and the church (of which I was a part) drove him away which encouraged him to make bad choices which eventually killed him. Knowing this, I can only listen well when my children have a different Christian view to the one I was brought up in. They are accepting of homosexuality, they feel the church's position is no different to sexism or racism and they see nothing of God in it. They think the tide is changing. I am maybe not quite where they are but I do think that it is about one to one, loving people where they are - who asked for my opinion on their life anyway?Nearly Marthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01594432566473391552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-55532501364780143.post-16267840968422285122015-02-09T07:50:05.446+00:002015-02-09T07:50:05.446+00:00:0) xx:0) xxPen Wilcockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13818227904371811230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-55532501364780143.post-69110886888847452372015-02-09T00:35:34.200+00:002015-02-09T00:35:34.200+00:00I did not know that Thou was singular and you plur...I did not know that Thou was singular and you plural. In fact I think I should begin to pray a lot more. As far as I can tell this is the only solution I have is to trust my Lord.Suzehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15283293507101152512noreply@blogger.com
