What I find strange about those synchronicity moments is how random and pointless they seem - as though from long ago in a galaxy far far away a voice finally reach you to tell you the measurements of the Sea of Tranquillity or the price of pterodactyls eggs on the black market.
Though mind you I had a good synchronicity moment too the other day. I was engaged in one of my many fruitless eBay searches for UK size 9 ladies shoes - but not just any be-grateful-there's-even-one shoes. No. I wanted soft beige leather girly looking shoes, preferably flatties or a very low heel, but with laces or a bar across so they didn't slip off. After having searched in vain through about 35 pages, beginning to feel frustrated that they were all eee fitting or reinforced heels for cross-dressers wanting to look like shepherdesses or nurses, I said with some impatience, "What I really want is some made by Gabor". The next page I turned up had some beige Mary Janes in supersoft beige leather by Gabor for £3.75, no other bids. I got them and they fit me perfectly.Pen Wilcockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13818227904371811230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-55532501364780143.post-8532493110509512392011-08-13T21:44:02.873+01:002011-08-13T21:44:02.873+01:00I realise this post is very very old, but I have t...I realise this post is very very old, but I have to comment, to share some Goosebumps of Synchronicity.
I have been reading through the archives, in order, and this is as far as I have got. Just as I opened the page and started trying to read it, I was distracted by my dad talking about how sheep used to have differently pitched bells around their necks, which could be an explanation for the "fairy music" reported to have been heard from sacred hilltops.
So, struggling to ignore him, I clicked on your link which took me to the shepherd children and their apparitions. Hence Goosebump number one. But then, I read that the apparitions were seen on the thirteenth of every month, until the children were thrown in jail on the 13th August. Then I looked at the date on my computer and got several more Goosebumps.
Whether this means anything or not I don't know, but I've suddenly become a whole lot more interested in that story!Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02840431195234661911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-55532501364780143.post-61610561727373801312010-06-03T18:44:37.561+01:002010-06-03T18:44:37.561+01:00:0):0)Pen Wilcockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13818227904371811230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-55532501364780143.post-63319884542359708112010-06-03T00:30:43.371+01:002010-06-03T00:30:43.371+01:00You know rosaries always remind me a little of wor...You know rosaries always remind me a little of worry beads ~ & seem to serve something of the same purpose. Just the same certain sorts really attract me: the plain ones with large wooden beads & chunky, christless crucifixes [because, after all, Christ has risen]. And I really love some of the prayers & the idea of repeating some of the great statements of the Faith...But when it comes down to it I'm way too lazy for such disciplined praying & far too terrified of rote [I grew up in a liturgical church & have a horror of the mindless droning that passed for liturgical praise & worship. ew.] And yet there are point Quakerism & Catholicism touch & are far closer in spirit than the protestant churches. I find that really interesting...Ganeidahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17176246964466185315noreply@blogger.com
