Loved it.

It's here, for others interested. http://ofsgb.org

I was so excited to see the photo of San Damiano in among the cover pics at the top!

And this - "Never has true fraternity been so longed for and at the same time so little lived." There's a pleasi...Hello Nearly Martha! Waving!
There's a pleasing saying - WE ARE ALL NOW HERE - also able to be rendered WE ARE ALL NOWHERE.
It's said that when a Hindu guru lay dying, his disciples wept and begged him not to leave them, and he said, "Leave you? Where would I go?"
We belong to those we love and who have loved us. The world is round and we are all in it together. There is only one path - life - and we all walk it together. Jesus prayed for those who follow him, they they will all be one, in him and in the Father, and so we are.
As we go along, develop and change, we have to find the friends and footholds that work for who we are now, but God bless those who have been our companions on other stretches of the journey. The net of heaven is wide, it has room for us all. xx

Hello Mairin! Is that the same as the Third Order? I looked into joining the C of E Third Order of Franciscans a while back, but the dispersed nature of it created impracticalities - my nose is on the trail of a more day-to-day connection. But I loved their motto / mission statement - "To make Jesus known and loved everywhere", and that's what my books are for. xxPen Wilcockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13818227904371811230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-55532501364780143.post-4388097648408586082017-08-31T02:49:41.930+01:002017-08-31T02:49:41.930+01:00I am a professed member of the Catholic Church Ord...
I am a professed member of the Catholic Church Order of Secular Franciscans (OFS)(and a regular reader of your posts) We can't have your company, but a couple of us have loved the Franciscan simplicity of your book 'In Celebration of Simplicity"
Cheers, Pen! We do, I think need to leave our old church membership behind but, as you say, we have learnt so much from the Pentecostals that we shall take with us.
