Disturbing similarities

It would seem . . .


. . . that after adjustments and some months living with headcovering and Plainish dress, I have settled down into a way of doing it that also feels like me.

But the thing is . . .



. . . it would also seem that others 
     . . . have been there before me . . .

    Denise - yes. A few years back, because life is so short, and I thought of the times, just the few times, a person gets to see the snowdrops in February and the swallows arrive for the summer, I resolved that from then on I would do what I was sent here to Earth to do, and only that :0)

    I think you look just fine - even a little monastic -which appeals to me.
    Even though I like really pretty clothes, I also love simple/somber dress too.
    I'm learning that I have 2 distinct sides to my nature.
    You look warm, comfortable and modest.

    Yep, I've finally got to where I think I am happy for biblical hair - the covering for the head and the hair to be like a shawl/mantle, jus like wot it says in the Book :0)

    Reminds of one morning I was hanging out laundry, in my white linen shirt, linen dress with a linen shift over it, hair tied under a large white kerchief, barefoot - I was dressed and employed exactly like a 14th century French peasant! It was a shock, a pleasure, and just a bit of a historical jolt!

    I too seem to be in a season of change...even before reading your last couple of posts on the hair/covering, I had been 'rethinking' my covering and dress. Still covering, and still modest, but not sure where it's all leading yet :o)

    My daughter, thankfully, thinks modestly and simple, but not really plain. I am pleased and comfortable with our version of modesty, but do it with some style...kind of like your sense of humor.
