Still laughing . . .

Three further things that made me laugh this week (I am beginning to wonder if it’s just that I have a warped sense of humour)

1)  This lovely card my dear Badger gave me on Valentine’s Day.

You see it has a badge on it that says BEST WIFE EVER.  Well, I have been married three times, and each husband has been married before or subsequently, and in all that time I never realized I was entering a competition . . .

2)  This cartoon I saw on Facebook.

3) The funeral director who wrote to me to set up the funeral of an old lady, giving her date of death as the day after he wrote and posted the letter . . .

  2. These made me chuckle too! Love the worship one still giggling here! A warped sense of humour is often just the ticket when dealing with difficult circumstances I think if it as a suit if armour! Mind you the armour of God is pretty neat too! Xx

  5. Hahaha! Funny stuff Pen.
I am soooooo glad you're the BEST WIFE EVER. you cannot begin to guess how much pressure that takes off of ME. If in future I garner any criticism of my wifery skills I shall say The PRIZE has already been given out, I am no longer competing.

Change that cartoon old lady to a little old man and you've got exactly the village church I raised my younger kids in. Keeping up with the times.

When I said earlier that things make me laugh all the time I neglected to mention that quite often No One Else is laughing. As a kid I used to get in trouble for this, but I can't help it, People Are Funny. Most funny of all of course when we don't intend to be. Maybe that's why we've survived as a species son long....laughter is good medicine and whether intentional or accidental we constantly amuse each other.

  8. The last one reminds me that, when being asked to agree to some uncongenial appointment some distance in the future, my clergyman father would scrutinise his diary, shake his head, and say: No, he was very sorry but he had a funeral then!
