I really enjoyed watching this beautiful film, though sometimes I find myself wanting to narrow down my understanding of the world just to feel less at sea, and other times I recognise that that can be a root of prejudice and judgment, and therefore better to open myself up to different interpretations of the world... That is the creative process at work.
I'm so glad you shared this film with us. It is very moving and powerful. I came away with many lessons, from the first man who talked about love, to the Australian aboriginal man who explained about sharing and giving, to Jose in Uruguay who talked about the value of life and time. It struck me that nearly every person interviewed expressed both joy and sorrow. I know that I will think about this film for a long time. (I'm definitely going to watch Vol.2.) I think this film should be shown in every school, every place of worship, and every business.
I want to make a list of essential human needs:
love food, shelter, medical care, clean water, education meaningful work rest and play space beauty dignity

Maybe something we are a little short on just now, is hope. xx
Stunning isn't it! Reminds me of those other two incredible pieces of cinema, Baraka and Samsara.
Me too, but I think I like this even better. x
Watching these increased my feelings of love for people.
