… when I was showing you my room the other day.
On top of the bench/table the Badger made is where I normally keep folded the prayer shawl Rebecca knitted for me.
It is something wonderful. It has the colours of her home at Hopewell in it, and also something you cannot see – the intentions she knitted into it.
She knitted poems and philosophy and all kinds of wisdom in. She sent me the words she carried in her heart while she was making it. Some of them are from poets who lock down their texts with fiercely guarded copyright so I can’t share them here – but there is the wisdom of Rumi, Mary Oliver, T.S. Eliot, the Hopi Elders, the Tao, Dorothy Walters, A Course in Miracles, Emily Dickinson, and Rebecca’s own poetry – all knitted in to the fabric of my prayer mantle.
It sits there on its altar sending out wisdom as a clean and holy fragrance.
Thank you, Rebecca.
