Today I have gone into vests.

Not, that is, gilets/jackets/waistcoats or jerkins.

The leaves underfoot are the colour of flames. The fire in the woodstove is welcome of an evening.

:) Yes, tis brisk! I need to start wearing wool socks when I cycle to work in the morning. It took a good while for my toes to warm up this morning! The smell of woodsmoke in the air has been delightful though. There was a brilliantly golden tree in my yard--one good windy day and now my grass has been splatter painted with color! Its probably my favorite time of year. Stay cozy, my friend!

Some years, here, we miss out the gold entirely - the leaves stay green until gales strip the trees. This year the autumn is golden, aflame - I'm loving it. x
