Thank you so much for this, Pen - I love Stanford's music! One of my music professors at Durham University (from twenty-five years ago) is an expert on both Stanford and Parry and has written books on both, and last year (the centenary of Parry's death) there was a wonderful concert in Durham Cathedral with a programme full of Parry's beautiful music. Stanford's is already planned for five years hence!
Gosh, I bet that Parry concert was sublime! And how lovely to have the Stanford one to look forward to — it's disconcerting how quickly five years goes by.
