Thank you, Pen, for your thoughtful, compassionate and well-reasoned political posts - I so much appreciated your previous one (which I can't currently find!) entitled "Before you Vote", and your approach to the topic in general. I thought JC came across really well last night on Channel 4. We'll stay optimistic! Hope you're having a lovely day xxx

Thank you. Yes, I deleted the last one.

That is a pity. I felt it made much sense!

Thank you. I had one reader who wanted to argue extensively about a single issue. She was pulling in a lot of the smear stuff from the papers, and I had to choose between just blocking her comments or letting it degenerate into an unseemly argument. I chose to delete the post because we were getting nowhere, and this isn't that kind of place.

I am so sorry to hear that, but understand and respect your decision to remove it. Thank you for its content while it lasted - it was appreciated by at least one person and, I am certain, multitudes more!

Yup I liked it and that poster is a thing of beauty. Prime Minister in Plymouth today - not to a rousing welcome.

The world's seemed a scary place lately, hasn't it? Blessings for God's best for your country (and ours)!

Etta - thank you for your private message. I have respected your wishes and not published it. However, I'd point out you have given me no means of responding, and I would have liked to do so, as you have retained the ability to contact me while not extending the courtesy of a means of reply. You say "I applaud you for having the ability to see what you want to see while I can only see things as they are". I wonder if you can see what's wrong with that statement, and how incredibly rude it is?

I have squirrelled away your communication for future use as a superlative example of patronising, belittling passive aggression. If you *really* want to apologise, you'd better get in touch again with a means of contact and an honest intention to set things straight. At the moment, I'm not very impressed. I can see where you're coming from, and I do not like it.
