You know how, on Amazon, customers can send in a question which is then emailed out to other customers who've bought the product? Today, looking at socks airers on Amazon — specifically, this one:
. . . I came across this question and answer (click on it if it's too small for you to read properly):
Yes — I don't live in a tiny house but I have tiny space, because I share a normal sized house with a lot of people! One of our big challenges, in a rainy country, is drying clothes. We rely heavily on the banisters and a bamboo pole laid across the stairwell. I thought one of these sock driers would go just nicely on that bamboo pole. So I looked it up . . . But no good for curing herring, apparently.
People are so funny and interesting and surprising! I could not have that thing though... it would disturb my eyes and spirit for some reason. A resounding "no" when I look at it. :)
I didn't get that one in the end — I read the reviews that spoke of pegs breaking and plastic arms bending under the weight of washing. I did get one, though, but a brushed aluminium circular one with not so many pegs. Works a treat. x

Hahahahaha!! Thank you for brightening up my morning!
Ha! That's great. Gotta love people with a sense of humor.
(And this looks very similar to the "clothesline" from that tiny Japanese apartment video, as an aside.)

Poor herring. How about antibiotics? Gave me my laugh for the day - thank you!
