Roof community developments . . .

The herring gull chick on our next door neighbours’ roof is getting restless.

Hearing the peevish whistling, I took a peek through the skylight in our garret.

No sign of the baby, parent gull snoozing in the shade of the chimney.

Spots me. “What?!

I went down to the garden to see if I could spot the little one from there.

Yes! Living dangerously on the ridge tiles!

But seeing me with a suspicious machine aiming shots at her kiddie, Mama (or is it Papa?) was right there. “What? What do you want?”

“Fie on you paparazzi with your insolent intrusions!!”

Darn. Daisy said "LOL!" and I went to publish it but the mouse slipped and I rejected it by mistake. Anyway that's what she said. Hi Daisy and thanks for stopping by. Please don't feel rejected, trashed and dismissed as a person because my mouse bit your comment off. xxx
