Hey, look at the pic my friend Julie just sent me!
It's out stateside then! And my copies haven't even made it across the Atlantic yet! Well - just the one has, but that's been snapped up quick by my family!
Hope you like it Julie!
She's read it actually. I run all my manuscripts past Julie - not that you'd call her my severest critic; more my encourager cheering me on :0)
This book has been dedicated to Julie and to Jehane, whose prayers and kindness make a life raft at times. Thank you, ladies!

Cripes. A handbag. Bought in a delusional attempt to be an elegant lady in a moment of eBay madness. It sat underneath the clothes rail for a while then I hope made some other woman who browses in charity shops very happy.

Congratulations on the book! How wonderful to have friends that are honest with you and encourage you also :)
Like the handbag...but right now, mine are also being enjoyed by others :-)

I'm so excited but I will wait till it's available out here as then it's supporting Oz business as well. I've put my mum onto it too. I think she'll love these books! ☺
How exciting! Can't wait to read it. I've ordered from Amazon.com rather than the UK, as I waited a long time to receive 'the hardest thing to do' from Amazon uk, much simpler than I thought it would be - you can even pay in GBP!!
We visited Pluscarden Abbey, the other month - beautiful medieval abbey near Elgin, what a wonderful peaceful place, the whole time thinking about your books. We even got to speak to a brother while there.
Blessings
Vicki
Hi friends!
Yes indeed, Maria - without the honesty the encouragement would no be of such value.
OK Ganeida! I don't know when it comes out where you are - if it's going to be a long while I'll send you a copy when they show up here. x
Vicki - thanks for buying it, and you did right. The problem is not Amazon but our UK suppliers for the book; it is, to say the least, not high on their list of priorities! What surprises me about ordering from Amazon.com to the UK is how low the postage is. When I can I buy from UK suppliers to keep down the environmental cost of the transport mileage, but in this particular instance there doesn't seem a way round it. x
For some strange reason we cannot understand, Google blogger has gone to the Dark Side and is blocking all Julie's comments :0(
Julie wanted to say this:
"I'm so excited I bought two copies - one for myself and one as a gift. :) God bless you for all that you've poured into these books, Ember."
Thank you, honey - and thank you so much for all your help and encouragement. xx
Ahhh! I'm so excited. Will try to order it now. I'm stateside, in Colorado.
Blessings!
:0) Thank you Keitha! I do hope you enjoy the story x
I got my copy on Tuesday ... and just finished reading it the second time through today! I started reading it Tuesday afternoon ... and had to put it down so I could sleep -- at 1 am!!! Crying and laughing in turn, I can't wait for book 6 in July!
During the second reading I kept seeing and hearing -- in my mind's eye -- Alan Rickman as Father William. What a wonderful mini-series this series would make! And I saw/heard Emma Thompson as Madeleine. I'm still working out Abbott John...and the rest of your wonderful characters, my virtual companions :-)
Oh, you are such an encourager! Thank you, friend! x
:-) the thing is your characters have both depth and accessibility -- they are "real" even as they are fictional. This is why/how I can enjoy spending time with them again and again ... and seeing a bit deeper I my my wounded, purple heart as I peek into theirs.
Be blessed ... may God reward you, sister :-)
:0) THANK YOU!
Just got the book this morning by post. Baked chocolate orange scones and put a pot of strong coffee on. Am devouring the book and have no plans to do anything else for the rest of today. Love it!
:0) So glad you are enjoying it, friend! x
